More Pleasant Adventures
The ice
started to show
and suddenly you are interested
in
Happiness
the word
or story
a sentimental journey a sentimental
layer of
change
some tennis court
we get lost in
but nowhere we can be found
No Two Alike
Wait—I am
overreacting,
scars
of slow defeat
spent propped against
bread
Then the world
got
calmer, as
though some big man
had
turned
people into
a patina
What matters is
the
ministering
of
cover
the whole
polluting remembrance
where I
was born a curious
rage
after long love
wears out.
Unfit to Stand Trial
A beautiful
new smell is
in pharmacies.
Each passing bird shivers
at all the things we've created--
opinions
fire engines
softball games--
we don't
deserve.
